About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Leads operations in areas of injury prevention, task assessment, safety communications, hazardous materials storage and transportation compliance, and regulatory compliance
  • Develops, implements, and manages company safety programs, policies and procedures
  • Conducts pre-operational risk assessments on new sites
  • Provides training and coaching to local Health & Safety Managers
  • Conducts HSE audits and assessments of ongoing operations
  • Serves as point of contact for safety related matters
  • Coordinates and delivers HSE training regionally

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a medium to large warehouse in a HSE management capacity supervising 5 or more associates
  • Bachelor’s Degree, in related field (Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene) preferred
  • Prior experience in safety observations/inspections, developing and implementing compliance strategies and plans
  • Knowledge and understanding of current Environmental / Sustainability Topics
  • Strong computer skills required. Proficient use of MS Office Applications
  • Associate Safety Professional (ASP) or similar certification preferred
  • Bilingual (Preferred)
