About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Leads operations in areas of injury prevention, task assessment, safety communications, hazardous materials storage and transportation compliance, and regulatory compliance
- Develops, implements, and manages company safety programs, policies and procedures
- Conducts pre-operational risk assessments on new sites
- Provides training and coaching to local Health & Safety Managers
- Conducts HSE audits and assessments of ongoing operations
- Serves as point of contact for safety related matters
- Coordinates and delivers HSE training regionally
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a medium to large warehouse in a HSE management capacity supervising 5 or more associates
- Bachelor’s Degree, in related field (Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene) preferred
- Prior experience in safety observations/inspections, developing and implementing compliance strategies and plans
- Knowledge and understanding of current Environmental / Sustainability Topics
- Strong computer skills required. Proficient use of MS Office Applications
- Associate Safety Professional (ASP) or similar certification preferred
- Bilingual (Preferred)
