About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Coordinate complex daily dispatch activities for company drivers, contractors, and partner carriers
- Manage assigned customer accounts and transportation activities to ensure customer expectations are achieved
- Evaluate transportation requirements and manage high-priority, time-sensitive freight movements
- Schedule and communicate pickup and delivery expectations with various stakeholders
- Serve as the primary operational contact for assigned customers and build positive business relationships
- Utilize transportation management systems and maintain accurate shipment records
- Monitor transportation activities to support compliance with relevant regulations
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or GED required
- 3 to 5 years of experience in truck dispatch, transportation operations, or logistics coordination required
- Advanced knowledge of truck dispatch and transportation operations
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Working knowledge of DOT regulations and transportation compliance
- Experience utilizing transportation management systems (TMS) and dispatch software
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong English language skills; Spanish is a plus
