About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Leads operations in injury prevention, task assessment, safety communications, hazardous materials storage and transportation compliance
  • Develops, implements, and manages company safety programs, policies and procedures
  • Acts as subject matter expert and consultant for HSE subject matters with site management teams
  • Conducts pre-operational risk assessments and provides compliance training
  • Works with Facility Leadership on safety matters and ensures compliance with safety inductions
  • Conducts HSE audits and ensures adherence to standards
  • Coordinates with site managers to align Health, Safety, & Environment plans with quality management systems

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a medium to large warehouse in a HSE management capacity
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field (Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene) preferred
  • Working knowledge of current EPA and DOT regulations including HAZWOPER and Hazard Communication
  • Computer Skills: Strong computer skills; Proficient use of MS Office Applications
  • Associate Safety Professional (ASP) or similar certification preferred
  • English reading, writing, and verbal skills required, bilingual preferred
