About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Leads operations in injury prevention, task assessment, safety communications, hazardous materials storage and transportation compliance
- Develops, implements, and manages company safety programs, policies and procedures
- Acts as subject matter expert and consultant for HSE subject matters with site management teams
- Conducts pre-operational risk assessments and provides compliance training
- Works with Facility Leadership on safety matters and ensures compliance with safety inductions
- Conducts HSE audits and ensures adherence to standards
- Coordinates with site managers to align Health, Safety, & Environment plans with quality management systems
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a medium to large warehouse in a HSE management capacity
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field (Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene) preferred
- Working knowledge of current EPA and DOT regulations including HAZWOPER and Hazard Communication
- Computer Skills: Strong computer skills; Proficient use of MS Office Applications
- Associate Safety Professional (ASP) or similar certification preferred
- English reading, writing, and verbal skills required, bilingual preferred
