About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage operational IT security tasks and related supporting systems.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact (SPOC) for assigned IT security incidents.
  • Perform daily security incident monitoring, investigation, and handling activities.
  • Evaluate technical threats, vulnerabilities, and risks to support incident response and remediation efforts.
  • Escalate security threats, risks, and incidents in accordance with established procedures.
  • Support security incident reporting, documentation, and case management activities.
  • Maintain hands-on proficiency with security technologies, including SIEM, EDR, Email Security, Web Proxy, Vulnerability Management, and SOAR platforms.
  • Develop and maintain security monitoring and detection use cases within SIEM and related security platforms.
  • Manage or support the administration, maintenance, and continuous improvement of one or more security-related systems.
  • Train, guide, and provide technical knowledge sharing to Junior Specialists and team members within areas of expertise.
  • Support initiatives related to the enhancement and continuous development of SOC capabilities, processes, and services.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • University degree in IT or Relevant IT related education or courses
  • Minimum 3 years of IT security related work
  • Hands-on proficiency with security technologies, including SIEM, EDR, Email Security, Web Proxy, Vulnerability Management, and SOAR platforms.
  • Solid foundation in security concepts, including Network Security, Endpoint Security, Email Security, Cloud Security, MITRE ATT&CK, adversary TTPs, and vulnerability management.
  • Subject Matter Expert (SME) in one or more assigned security tools, technologies, or domains
  • Composure, professionalism, and accountability when handling high-priority and critical security incidents.
  • Accurate and up-to-date documentation of work activities, processes, procedures, and technical knowledge.
