About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Plan, arrange, monitor, and control all aspects of distribution planning
  • Support haulage planning across national routes
  • Ensure compliance with company quality policies and objectives, maintaining KPIs
  • Carry out general administrative duties, including event management, invoicing, filing, handling queries, claims, and cost checking in line with departmental requirements
  • Respond promptly to general enquiries, escalating issues where necessary
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external customers, drivers, suppliers, and other offices
  • Maximise the efficient utilisation of the vehicle fleet
  • Prepare accurate documentation for the warehouse team to support the timely loading and offloading of cargo
  • Produce reports and KPIs as required
  • Undertake any other duties as reasonably requested by management

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Strong knowledge of the logistics and transport sector
  • Customer-focused with a commitment to delivering excellent service
  • Proficient in PC systems and transport operating software
  • Good understanding of drivers’ hours and transport regulations
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure
  • Good problem-solving skills and good geographical knowledge of Ireland
