About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- The Sr. Industrial Engineer is responsible for designing and implementing common contract logistics processes and driving continuous performance improvement.
- This engineer may also provide engineering support for new and/or expanding business implementations.
- The Sr. Industrial Engineer will support multifaceted operations and have a detailed understanding of client needs.
- The Sr. Industrial Engineer may contribute to the overall facility layout and design as well as determine appropriate equipment to support the concept of operational use.
- The Engineer will lead & manage any necessary vendors, as they execute the physical implementation of the solution.
- This role is also responsible for maintaining financial and engineering metrics that will meet or exceed performance goals.
- The Sr. Industrial Engineer may at times provide guidance and training to interns/Co-ops.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor Degree in Industrial Engineering required or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Minimum 3-4 years’ experience in a supply chain (warehouse/4walls) environment.
- Prior leadership positions directing Logistics Engineers in 3PL/supply chain environment.
- Advanced knowledge of statistics.
- Proficiency in MS Office Applications with advanced knowledge of Excel, Access and Power BI.
- Insight into a Warehouse Management Systems allowing for understanding of system capabilities.
- AutoCAD.
- Lean methodologies.
- Six Sigma tools.
- Knowledge of various storage methodologies as well as material handling equipment.
