About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

The Sr. Industrial Engineer is responsible for designing and implementing common contract logistics processes and driving continuous performance improvement.
This engineer may also provide engineering support for new and/or expanding business implementations.
The Sr. Industrial Engineer will support multifaceted operations and have a detailed understanding of client needs.
The Sr. Industrial Engineer may contribute to the overall facility layout and design as well as determine appropriate equipment to support the concept of operational use.
The Engineer will lead & manage any necessary vendors, as they execute the physical implementation of the solution.
This role is also responsible for maintaining financial and engineering metrics that will meet or exceed performance goals.
The Sr. Industrial Engineer may at times provide guidance and training to interns/Co-ops.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor Degree in Industrial Engineering required or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Minimum 3-4 years’ experience in a supply chain (warehouse/4walls) environment.
Prior leadership positions directing Logistics Engineers in 3PL/supply chain environment.
Advanced knowledge of statistics.
Proficiency in MS Office Applications with advanced knowledge of Excel, Access and Power BI.
Insight into a Warehouse Management Systems allowing for understanding of system capabilities.
AutoCAD.
Lean methodologies.
Six Sigma tools.
Knowledge of various storage methodologies as well as material handling equipment.
