About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Daily management and coordination of shipments
Establish and coordinate schedules with carriers and tender shipments
Create, coordinate country specific documents
Adhere to all domestic and international shipping regulations
Track and trace all shipments
Prepare and publish reports, as requested
Proactively identify problems and swiftly implement the appropriate solutions
Confirm rates with carriers
Responsible for cost containment of shipments, via accounting system
Evaluate shipments, consolidate loads, select most cost-effective method of pick up and/or delivery
Ensure all DSV KPIs met throughout the movement of the shipment
Lane analysis required on orders to select the most appropriate mode of transport within customer requirements
Daily Communication with customers on relevant issues and resolution
Manage new account implementation from standard operating procedure to execution
Supports organizational commitment to ISO 9001, ISO 45001 certification – Montreal location
Perform assigned tasks to support DSV meets its objectives and targets regarding quality, health, safety and environment and follow all requirements as set out in the DSV Quality Health Safety Environment policy

Requirements

What you’ll need

A minimum of two years international transportation industry experience or education in supply chain logistics, international transportation, or a related field of study
CIFFA certificate, an asset
Dangerous Goods Certification, an asset
Authorized Cargo Representative (ACR) designated status, as required
GDP Training, if required
Good command, both verbal and written, English skills
Ability to create collaborative engagements and active listening
Service oriented and able to resolve customer grievances
Strong interpersonal skills, building professional relationships internally and externally
Strong problem-solving skills and analytical skills
Ability to multi-task, plan, prioritize and manage time effectively in order to meet goals and achieve results
Both a team builder and a team-player
Excellent organizational and time management skills
