About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Oversee and manage the importation of goods into the company
Develop import strategies and plans in coordination with other departments
Ensure compliance with all relevant customs, import, and trade regulations
Manage relationships with suppliers, vendors, and customs authorities
Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers to optimize import operations
Oversee the preparation and verification of import documentation, including customs paperwork
Coordinate customs clearance processes, including managing customs brokers
Monitor and control inventory levels to prevent overstock or stockouts

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business, or a related field preferred
Minimum of 5 years of experience in import management, customs compliance, or related roles
Profound knowledge of customs regulations, import procedures, and trade compliance
Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities
Proficiency in using logistics and inventory management software
Familiarity with trade agreements and customs automation systems
Fluent in English (oral and written); additional languages are a plus
