About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide advice to employees on individual employment law — by phone, in writing and digitally
- Attend and represent at court hearings
- Draft pleadings and out-of-court correspondence
- Independently manage cases and serve as the direct point of contact for clients
- Get up to speed on new matters and communicate clearly and in a structured manner
- Contribute to the ongoing development of firm processes
- Work on projects promoting employees' rights
- Help shape modern, digital, and practice-oriented employment law services
Requirements
What you’ll need- Initial professional experience (at least 6 months) in employment law, advising employees and/or employers
- Qualified lawyer or admitted attorney
- Strong interest in employment law topics and developments
- Excellent written and oral advocacy skills
- Attention to detail, self-reliance and high standards for your own work
- Willingness to handle cases independently
- Strong communication skills and negotiating ability in client interactions
- Experience or interest in improving digital law firm processes
- Confidence working in digital environments, e.g., cloud tools, automations and case management systems
- Structured working style, good time management and solution-oriented thinking
- Willingness to take on responsibility
