About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Create high-quality, engaging, platform-specific content for Facebook and Instagram
- Use trends, analytics, and strategic direction to grow social media accounts and meet performance targets
- Schedule approved posts using social media management tools
- Monitor post performance, including engagement, reach, and conversion rates
- Use analytics data to refine strategies and meet targets
- Monitor social media trends, platform updates, and industry news
- Execute organic social media campaigns aligned with the VP of Content Strategy
- Escalate negative public relations issues to the Director of Social Media
- Provide tactful and professional response plans to protect the brand’s reputation
- Coordinate with the Moderation team as needed
- Oversee and manage assigned team members
- Ensure cohesive execution, aligned output, accountability, and performance
Requirements
What you’ll need- 4 years as a Social Media Manager or similar role managing Facebook/Instagram accounts with 100,000+ followers per account
- Experience managing a personal brand account
- 2 years directly supervising a creative/content team with 2+ direct reports
- Experience delegating assignments, reviewing work product, and holding team members accountable to deadlines
- Experience managing remote or distributed team members across specialized roles
- Skilled at giving constructive feedback on copy and post scheduling
- Ability to coach writers toward a defined brand voice
- Track record of translating senior leadership direction into clear team priorities
- Ability to reprioritize quickly when strategy shifts
- Ability to set audience growth metrics, interpret performance data, and create action plans
- Deep working knowledge of Facebook and Instagram policies, algorithms, and best practices
- Basic graphic design skills and a strong eye for visual/aesthetic content
- Demonstrated habit of staying current on social media trends and applying them to content strategy
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, quickly changing environment
- Must complete a skills test during the application process
- Up-to-date Mac or Windows computer with antivirus protection
- Reliable high-speed internet connection
- Quiet, distraction-free workspace
- Tech-savvy and comfortable learning new tools and software
- Comfortable and experienced using Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Outlook, Teams, Word, and OneDrive
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer for W-2 positions
- International and California-based employees are not currently eligible
