About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Ensure the stability, maintenance and evolution of the company’s data platform (on-premises and cloud), guaranteeing business continuity.
Work on support and maintenance of traditional Microsoft pipelines (SQL Server, SSIS and SSAS) and modern big-data pipelines (Azure and Databricks).
Carry out structured migrations and build automated cloud pipelines, ensuring governance, security and data quality for decision-making across all business units.
Ensure availability and performance of the traditional and modern analytics environments, resolve critical incidents quickly and act on root causes.
Create and maintain scalable data integration processes from diverse sources (structured and unstructured).
Ensure compliance with LGPD (Brazilian General Data Protection Law) and apply quality validations to guarantee the reliability of strategic decisions and information security.
Support the Technical Lead to ensure continuous delivery and SLA achievement, mentor less-experienced engineers and promote best practices within the team/squad.
Evaluate and implement modern technologies in a measured way, connecting business needs with efficient solutions.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of solid experience in Data Engineering, with a proven track record in high-complexity, high-volume environments.
Traditional Stack (Mandatory for daily routine): Deep expertise in SQL Server, SSIS (Integration Services) and SSAS (Analysis Services). Must be able to optimize legacy queries and troubleshoot failures in older packages.
Modern Stack (Cloud): Strong hands-on experience with the Microsoft Azure ecosystem (Data Factory, Databricks and Data Lake Storage Gen2).
Languages and Frameworks: Proficiency in advanced SQL, Python and Apache Spark/PySpark.
Architecture: Proven experience in data modeling (relational and dimensional) and in applying the Medallion architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold).
Support Tools: Version control (Git), API usage and practical knowledge of agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
