Key responsibilities & impact

Deliver instruction in whole-class, small-group, and one-on-one environments
Help students, especially those with IEP's, acquire necessary knowledge and skills
Plan for each day's instructional activities
Participate in weekly professional development opportunities and meetings
Conduct assessment and data analysis on results
Supervise transitions and whole student gatherings
Maintain a classroom environment conducive to learning

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Education or closely related field
3 years experience in an educational setting is preferred
CT state certification specialized in Science, Mathematics or Special Education highly preferred
Experience working with target population preferred
Ability to handle multiple projects concurrently
Knowledgeable about Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS)
High emotional intelligence to develop relationships with diverse individuals
