About the role
- Work within established data models to understand data structures and entity relationships.
- Contribute to the maintenance and documentation of existing data models.
- Perform descriptive data analysis under the guidance of senior analysts to identify trends and patterns.
- Prepare basic reports and visualizations to present data insights to stakeholders.
- Work closely with data engineers, project managers, and senior analysts to deliver high-quality data solutions.
- Provide timely updates on assigned tasks and proactively communicate any roadblocks.
- Ensure data accuracy by cross-checking data for assigned tasks.
- Adhere to data security and compliance regulations and standards.
- Participate in code reviews to learn from senior analysts and ensure adherence to best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Public Health).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in SQL (ability to write basic queries).
- Experience with dbt (or similar data transformation tools) is a plus.
- Experience with data visualization tools like Looker, Looker Studio, or equivalent BI tools is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Familiar with data warehousing fundamental concepts and ETL processes; Understanding basic database normalization concepts and entity relationships, and follows established data models.
