About the role
- Help the team building a well-structured data warehouse
- Transform business needs into data visualizations
- Collaborate with Data Engineers, Product Managers, Engineering Teams and Business Stakeholders
- Provide clean and ready-to-use data to the organization
- Perform descriptive data analysis to identify trends and patterns
- Prepare basic reports and visualizations to present data insights to stakeholders
- Participate in code reviews to learn from senior analysts and ensure adherence to best practices
- Ensure data accuracy by cross-checking data for assigned tasks
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Public Health)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in SQL (ability to write basic queries)
- Experience with dbt (or similar data transformation tools) is a plus
- Experience with data visualization tools like Looker, Looker Studio, or equivalent BI tools is a plus
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Understanding the 'Why': Eager to ask clarifying questions about data requests to ensure accurate and relevant results
- Coachability & Active Listening: Open to receiving and acting on feedback from senior analysts and team members
- Accountability for Tasks: Demonstrated ability to deliver assigned tasks on time and to the required quality standards
- Comfortable with multi-tasking and strong attention to detail
- Quick learner and proven ability to adapt to situations quickly
- Familiar with data warehousing fundamental concepts and ETL processes; Understanding basic database normalization concepts and entity relationships, and follows established data models
