About the role
- Design, develop, and maintain backend solutions with a focus on scalability, reliability, and observability.
- Develop, optimize, and maintain public APIs for healthcare system integrations.
- Ensure high performance and robustness in high-traffic, mission-critical environments.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and stakeholders to deliver well-designed, maintainable solutions.
- Promote agile practices, CI/CD, and DevOps culture within the team.
- Contribute to code reviews, automated testing, and comprehensive documentation.
- Support integration partners with reliable tooling and strong developer experience.
- Explore and integrate emerging technologies, including AI/ML, where relevant to backend systems.
Requirements
- A senior backend engineer with deep expertise in designing and building highly scalable, reliable, and observable systems.
- Comfortable working across multiple modern programming languages.
- Curious, collaborative, and thrive in cross-functional teams.
- Passionate about creating backend architectures that perform under high load, recover gracefully from failures, and provide clear insights through observability.
- Committed to clean, testable, and well-documented code that supports long-term maintainability.
- Excited to tackle complex technical challenges at scale and make strategic system design decisions that enhance overall reliability and performance.
- 8+ years of experience designing and building scalable backend systems.
- Strong expertise in designing distributed systems, async programming, and service-oriented architectures.
- Hands-on experience with message brokers, queues, or event-driven systems (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka).
- Solid knowledge of database design and optimization (SQL + NoSQL).
- Familiarity with cloud-native practices, containerization (Docker), and orchestration (Kubernetes).
- Strong grasp of software engineering best practices (SOLID, DRY, testing, CI/CD).
- Proficiency in English (B2+) for effective collaboration.
