About the role
- Create new and maintain existing backend applications

- Effective collaboration with Product Management to understand and refine requirements
- Applying software design principles during the implementation phase to ensure high-quality outcomes and highly scalable solutions
- Managing and maintaining live production software at scale, ensuring its reliability and performance
- Ship minimal, maintainable solutions that just work
- Ship clear APIs, small PRs, clean architecture, and automation that removes toil, making systems easy to use, test, and evolve
Requirements
- Strong backend experience with the flexibility to dive into different stacks as needed (PHP, JS, TS, .NET, Python, and cloud/infrastructure)
- You leverage modern AI tools (LLMs, agents) in daily engineering workflows to accelerate development, debugging, and documentation, applying strong engineering judgment to validate outputs and ensure quality and safety
- You have a solid understanding of Object Oriented Programming principles
- You are familiar with (and preferably worked with) tools such as GIT, ELK Stack, DataDog, RabbitMQ, Symfony Messenger, MariaDB, GitHub Actions, Docker, and Redis
- Experience in Agile methodologies, with a particular focus on Extreme Programming (XP) practices, and remain committed to continuous improvement and adaptive planning
- You continuously seek innovations and improvements while understanding the business perspective
- You have a curious nature with a passion for learning and teaching
- Actively contribute to the flow of knowledge within the team, fostering a culture of continuous development and collaboration
- You can communicate in English – both spoken and written - min. B2 level
- You are open to receiving and giving valuable feedback
