About the role

  • Co-lead modernization efforts and drive innovation across Feegow/Docplanner products
  • Lead and drive technical initiatives impacting area-level directions (~5 teams)
  • Partner with Engineering Managers, Tech leads, and company leaders to shape technical strategy
  • Provide accountability for technical initiatives and ensure high operational standards
  • Act as a point of reference and provide technical guidance, mentorship, and coaching for engineering teams
  • Modernize architecture, migrate legacy systems, and enhance scalability
  • Influence technical decisions and be hands-on in implementation
  • Work with cloud technologies and the tech stack (Dotnet, PHP, Vue/React, Kubernetes on AWS) where applicable
  • Oversee database and infrastructure decisions to ensure scalable solutions
  • Report directly to the Engineering Director

Requirements

  • Solid technical background across SDLC principles and practices (Agile/CD, Lean, SRE, DevOps)
  • Proven experience in legacy software modernization and migration to modern architectures
  • Strong experience in backend development with holistic understanding of full-stack systems
  • Experience in cross-team initiatives and creating buy-in for technical initiatives
  • Experience designing, implementing, delivering high-quality impactful solutions
  • Experience mentoring and guiding less experienced engineers
  • Familiarity with Domain Driven Design (relevant)
  • Expertise in AWS (cloud infrastructure) is desirable
  • Experience overseeing database optimizations (MySQL) for scalable solutions
  • Knowledge of cloud-native architectures, microservices, serverless, synchronous/asynchronous communication, data streaming, and API lifecycle management
  • Advanced English skills (comfortable written and verbal communication across global teams)
  • CV must be submitted in English
  • Previous consulting experience is a plus
