About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Build and manage event timelines, budgets, vendor communications, speaker and presenter logistics, and internal and external briefs.
  • Manage logistics for tradeshows and field events, including booth setup, shipping, staffing schedules, signage, promotional items, and onsite troubleshooting.
  • Represent DNAnexus onsite at events.
  • Own webinar programs end to end, including platform setup, speaker coordination, run-of-show, promotion, moderation, and post-event follow-up.
  • Set up and QA lead capture at every event and webinar, ensuring leads are tagged correctly and pushed into the CRM within hours of event closing.
  • Identify target events and speaking opportunities, flag submission deadlines, and support abstract drafts.
  • Use AI tools to draft event copy, briefs, and follow-up emails, summarize post-event notes, and speed up reporting.
  • Report webinar registrations, attendance, sourced leads, CPR, ROI, and lead and opportunity growth regularly.
  • Flag underperformance early and propose fixes.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3–5 years of experience in event marketing, campaign coordination, or a related marketing role.
  • Daily, practical use of AI tools such as ChatGPT or Claude for writing, research, or workflow tasks.
  • Ability to describe exactly how AI tools are used.
  • Experience with a webinar platform such as Zoom Webinar, ON24, or WorkCast.
  • Experience with a marketing automation or CRM system such as HubSpot, Marketo, or Salesforce.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and tight timelines.
  • Ability to turn a rough request into a plan without every detail being specified.
  • Ability to drive cross-functional alignment across marketing, sales, customer success, product, and solutions experts.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to write clear briefs, recap emails, and event copy without heavy editing.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% of the time, including some evenings and weekends around event dates.
  • Nice-to-have: experience in life sciences, biotech, genomics, or a related technical industry.
  • Nice-to-have: familiarity with project management tools such as Asana, Monday, or Basecamp.
  • Nice-to-have: familiarity with no-code automation tools such as Zapier or Make.
