About the role

  • Job Role: Full-Stack Java Developer; Location: Atlanta, GA; Employment Type: Full-time; We are seeking a Full-Stack Java Developer to support its Local Government Services Division. The successful candidate will be responsible for application development and support of Java-based applications, including requirements gathering, analysis, design, software debugging, testing, and implementation planning. This role will also support modernization initiatives by researching and implementing new technologies.

Requirements

  • Design, code, test, modify, install, and debug software applications that integrate with Java-based systems and related applications; Research and analyze system problems individually or in a team, create solutions, and develop program documentation; Communicate technical and business information to stakeholders and end users; Translate business requirements into development tasks and deliver secure, maintainable code; Research, evaluate, and adopt new technologies to support modernization initiatives; Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Information Systems Management; Minimum 2 years of experience in software development with expertise in: Java, JavaScript, J2SE, J2EE; Struts and Spring frameworks; Strong understanding of software development methodologies, debugging, and testing practices; Ability to analyze business requirements and develop effective technical solutions; Excellent communication, problem-solving, and documentation skills
