About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design eye-catching covers that stand out in a crowded market.
Transform raw manuscripts into beautifully formatted interiors that elevate readability and enhance the reader experience.
Conceptualize and translate the author's vision into compelling cover and interior book designs.
Create custom, innovative book cover designs from concept through final production.
Maintain strong organizational and prioritization skills to effectively manage multiple projects and consistently meet deadlines.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Art/design degree or equivalent work experience.
Expert-level knowledge of publishing and design programs, including Microsoft Word, Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, etc.
Exceptional attention to detail.
Must be able to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve formatting issues within large, complex manuscript files.
Receptive to constructive feedback from both leadership and authors.
Self-motivated, able to work with minimal supervision.
Demonstrates accountability, professionalism, and discipline in managing daily responsibilities.
Two or more years in the design and/or publishing industry preferred.
Knowledge of PitStop, HTML, CSS, and Premiere Pro a plus.
