About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Perform programming, development, integration, and system administration assignments without close supervision
Design, code, test, and debug high-complexity programs
Configure and customize high-complexity purchased software solutions
Provide project management, programming, systems, and/or system administration leadership, guidance, and assistance to team members
Identify and resolve complex application and technical problems, including off-shift and weekend support calls as needed
Work independently on complex processes and modules used across programs, systems, or infrastructure change management
Develop major system modules, programs, or infrastructure releases based on customer requirements
Perform integrated testing and customer acceptance testing of system components
Perform integration tasks for in-house systems and/or purchased hardware and software solutions
Assist customers with documentation, training, and usability efforts
Maintain knowledge of programming languages, system analysis, testing, debugging, documentation standards, file design, storage, and internal systems
Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including Daily Standups, Sprint Planning, Grooming, Retrospectives, and Demos
Engage in PR reviews and collaborate with other teams

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, and 8+ years of relevant experience
Master's degree and 6+ years of relevant experience
Extensive experience designing, developing, and maintaining Java-based software applications at scale
3+ years of experience developing in AWS, including CloudFormation templates, ECS cluster deployment, Lambda, Fargate, Amazon Elasticsearch, and S3; strong understanding of IAM roles and policies
Experience leveraging Generative AI tools in software development
3+ years of experience building and deploying software with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Experience developing software applications using relational and NoSQL databases
Familiarity with MVC, Microservices, and Event-driven architecture
Experience deploying software using CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or Azure DevOps
Experience working within an Agile framework, ideally Scrum
Strong understanding of and/or experience with AWS SQS, AWS SNS, and Kinesis
Experience designing well-defined RESTful APIs
Hands-on experience with Swagger, Postman, and Assertible
Experience with TDD and BDD
Hands-on experience with Selenium and Cucumber, including integration into CI/CD pipelines
Experience with DynamoDB, MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis, Elasticsearch, MySQL, and Oracle
Solid knowledge of computer science fundamentals, including data structures and algorithms
Ability to work effectively under pressure and within time constraints
Passion for technology and eagerness to contribute to a team-oriented environment
