About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Build and design player-facing menus, UI, and HUD systems using C++ and Blueprint
- Design intuitive interfaces using UMG and CommonUI
- Integrate with existing gameplay systems, and develop new gameplay systems for an open-world simulation game
- Share knowledge, mentor, and support colleagues in your area of expertise
- Champion engineering quality
- Partner with engineers, designers and artists to deliver excellent player-facing features
Requirements
What you’ll need- Proven experience developing UI and gameplay systems in Unreal Engine 5.
- Strong understanding of UMG.
- Working knowledge of CommonUI, CommonInput, Enhanced Input, and how the systems interact.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
- Solid knowledge of C++
- Experience identifying and addressing performance bottlenecks in UI and gameplay systems
