About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide financial oversight of multiple behavioral health locations in assigned divisions through operational support, financial direction, and labor management
  • Participate in Monthly Operating Reviews and provide explanations and insight for assigned divisions and facilities
  • Interpret financial statements and perform financial statement analysis and statistical calculations to identify trends and manage KPIs
  • Partner with Divisional Presidents to identify, build, and refine KPIs and dashboards
  • Work with Supply Chain to ensure facilities follow Group Purchasing contract requirements and purchasing approvals
  • Build and maintain complex Excel models to analyze business results, drivers, budgets, forecasts, and ad-hoc analytical requests
  • Support operations through analytics, project facilitation, and financial education for facility leaders
  • Recommend actions through data interpretation, comparative analyses, and service line analysis
  • Develop and use decision-support tools to identify financial, operational, and business concerns and opportunities
  • Partner with FP&A on forecasting and budgeting for the assigned division
  • Assess QoE statements and related materials, including bridging financial results to the pro forma model
  • Provide operational insights for M&A, de novo, expansion, and other growth activities, including staffing and resourcing
  • Review managed care contracting and business development activities to maximize net revenue
  • Maintain relationships with and visit assigned facilities virtually and/or in person to review financial operations and provide feedback and guidance
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive and proprietary information
  • Maintain industry knowledge and perform other assigned duties

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare management, accounting, finance, or related field required
  • CPA, MBA, or related graduate degree preferred
  • Previous multisite healthcare or behavioral healthcare experience strongly preferred
  • 7+ years of relevant progressive experience, including proven ownership of financial and operational outcomes
  • Strong technical understanding of accounting principles
  • Ability to interpret financial statements
  • Demonstrated leadership and teamwork with a high level of emotional intelligence
  • Ability to assess situations, identify issues and problems, and prioritize duties
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with NetSuite and Oracle Essbase/NSPB preferred
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities from many levels of management
  • Ability to pivot priorities quickly
  • Ability to work and connect with a diversity of people
  • Critical and analytical thinking for problem-solving and decision support
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines and respond in a timely manner
