About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Act as the functional specialist for the SAP MM module, focusing on Oil & Energy sector operations
Design, implement, enhance, and support procurement, material movements, supply contracts, and integration with commercial and logistics operations
Configure, enhance, and support purchase requisitions and purchase orders (PR/PO)
Manage supply contracts, purchasing agreements, and strategic suppliers
Support the receipt of materials and services, inventory movements, and transfers
Work with volume purchasing, long-term contracts, and continuous supply arrangements
Support the procurement and movement of fuels, LPG, derivatives, and energy inputs
Support regulated purchasing, indexed contracts, and price variations
Integrate processes with measurement, logistics, warehousing, and distribution systems
Ensure MM integration with FI, CO, SD, LE/WM/EWM, and TM
Support tax and regulatory configurations, including ICMS-ST and special tax regimes
Support reconciliations among procurement, finance, and logistics
Work on SAP greenfield projects, rollouts, enhancements, upgrades, and migrations to S/4HANA
Participate in fit-to-standard, fit-gap analysis, integration testing, and UAT
Support cutover, hypercare, and post-go-live stabilization
Ensure adherence to SAP MM best practices and procurement policies
Document processes, configurations, and functional flows
Serve as the functional point of reference for Procurement, Commercial, Logistics, and Tax teams
Support the definition of procurement, contract, and inventory management KPIs

Requirements

What you’ll need

Solid experience as an SAP MM Specialist
Extensive experience with Procurement, Purchasing, and Materials Management processes
Strong knowledge of supply contracts, purchasing pricing, and volume management
Experience integrating with FI, CO, SD, LE/WM/EWM, and TM modules
Experience working in complex enterprise environments with high transaction volumes
Experience with S/4HANA Sourcing & Procurement is preferred
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Information Technology, Logistics, or a related field
SAP MM certification is a plus
Courses or training in the energy/fuels sector are a plus
Strong interaction with Procurement, Commercial, Logistics, and Tax teams
Analytical, process-oriented profile with experience in regulated environments
Strong communication skills with technical and business teams
Ability to work independently
Focus on compliance, efficiency, and reducing operational risks
Experience with indexed contracts, foreign exchange fluctuations, and commodities is a plus
Experience with TMS, EWM, and advanced logistics integration is a plus
Experience in energy, fuels, distribution, or utilities companies is a plus
Knowledge of Strategic Sourcing and advanced contract management is a plus
