Key responsibilities & impact
  • Oversee, strategize, and implement the planning, production, and logistics of specific projects
  • Work with senior management/sales to understand the project's scope and report progress throughout durations
  • Establish project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards according to company policies and contract specifications
  • Work with the project team to define the activities needed to complete the project
  • Determine the resources required to complete the project and requisite supplies, materials, and subcontractors needed to complete the project
  • Create and review project schedules with senior management and other staff affected by project activities, revising the schedule as needed
  • Work with the superintendent and foreman to plan, organize, and direct activities concerning site construction projects
  • Discuss matters such as work procedures, complaints, and construction problems
  • Maintain liaison with clients and other contacts to facilitate project activities
  • Monitor and control projects through administrative direction to ensure completion of projects within schedule and budget
  • Investigate potentially serious situations and implement corrective measures after conferring with senior management
  • Represent the company in project meetings and attend strategy meetings
  • Work with the Contract Administrator to manage the financial aspects of contracts, protecting the company’s interests and maintaining good relationships with clients and subcontractors/vendors
  • Formulate reports concerning work in progress, costs, and scheduling
