About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and lead a diversified funding strategy that supports both program initiatives and organizational sustainability.
  • Oversee Digital Moment’s revenue streams across government funding, philanthropy, sponsorship, and strategic partnerships.
  • Build and monitor annual funding targets, revenue pipeline health, and growth plans.
  • Partner with the Director of Finance to support revenue forecasting, budget planning, and funding pipeline visibility.
  • Develop strong relationships, concept notes, and proposals to secure provincial and federal government funding.
  • Stay informed on funding trends, public priorities, and budget developments to identify opportunities aligned with Digital Moment’s mission.
  • Build and nurture long-term relationships with funders, partners, and supporters that contribute to both program impact and operational sustainability.
  • Ensure Digital Moment has a strong stewardship approach that deepens relationships with current funders and partners while generating new opportunities.
  • Oversee external-facing initiatives that position Digital Moment as a leader in digital education and AI literacy.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Significant experience in fundraising, partnerships, external relations, business development, or growth leadership in a nonprofit, education, youth-serving, or mission-driven organization.
  • Strong experience securing and managing government funding, philanthropic support, corporate sponsorships, or strategic partnerships.
  • Demonstrated success building long-term stakeholder relationships and converting them into sustainable revenue or strategic value.
  • Strong strategic, written, and verbal communication skills, including proposal development, concept notes, and executive-level relationship management.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with finance, programs, project management, and communications teams.
  • Strong data and systems orientation, including CRM discipline, pipeline management, and revenue tracking.
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
  • Strong commitment to Digital Moment’s mission and to expanding equitable access to digital and AI literacy.
