About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • You continuously engage with current national and international regulatory requirements in the financial sector, particularly requirements from BaFin and the European Union (ECB, ESAs, ...).
  • You advise clients in the financial services sector on IT compliance, risk, control, and IT governance topics and support them in implementing regulatory requirements.
  • You conduct gap analyses of regulatory requirements versus existing operational processes, derive concrete measures, and accompany the implementation of regulatory requirements – from interpretation and functional classification to execution.
  • You support clients in establishing and further developing robust governance structures, aligning with relevant frameworks such as COBIT, ITIL or comparable frameworks and market standards.
  • You assist with business development activities, e.g., preparing proposals or strengthening client relationships.
  • You explore the use of AI applications in governance, risk and compliance topics and develop approaches for how these can be applied sensibly and efficiently in consulting projects.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • You have successfully completed your studies in (business) informatics, economics, law, or a comparable field.
  • You bring at least three years of professional experience in auditing, consulting or operating processes in the IT/ICT area of financial institutions and already have initial experience in IT governance, IT risks and controls, IT compliance, as well as conducting regulatory-driven transformation projects.
  • You have a solid understanding of regulatory requirements in the financial sector and can accurately assess complex technical content and communicate it clearly, professionally and understandably.
  • You are familiar with relevant standards and frameworks in the governance, risk and compliance area, e.g., COBIT, ITIL or comparable approaches.
  • You present yourself confidently and professionally and have excellent communication skills.
  • You have very good German and English skills. Additional language skills are a plus!
