About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- You continuously engage with current national and international regulatory requirements for the financial sector, in particular rules from BaFin and the European Union (ECB, ESAs, etc.).
- You advise clients in the financial services environment on IT compliance, risk, control and IT-governance topics and support them in implementing regulatory requirements.
- You perform gap analyses comparing regulatory requirements with existing operational processes, derive concrete measures and accompany the implementation of regulatory requirements – from business classification to execution.
- You support clients in building and further developing robust governance structures, aligning your approach with relevant frameworks such as COBIT, ITIL or comparable frameworks and market standards.
- You support business development activities, for example by preparing proposals or helping to develop client relationships.
- You examine the use of AI applications in governance, risk and compliance topics and develop approaches for how these can be used sensibly and efficiently in consulting projects.
Requirements
What you’ll need- You have successfully completed your studies in (business) computer science, business administration, law, or a comparable discipline.
- You bring at least three years of professional experience in auditing, consulting, or operating processes in the IT/ICT area of financial institutions and already have initial experience in IT governance, IT risks and controls, IT compliance, as well as in conducting regulatory-driven transformation projects.
- You have a good understanding of regulatory requirements in the financial industry and can accurately assess complex technical content and communicate it clearly, professionally and understandably.
- You are familiar with relevant standards and frameworks in the governance, risk and compliance area, e.g. COBIT, ITIL or comparable approaches.
- You are characterized by a confident and composed manner as well as excellent communication skills.
- You have very good German and English language skills. Additional languages are a plus!
