About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Own and complete an assigned individual IT project throughout the summer, culminating in a presentation to Diamondback’s executive team
Develop IT skills under the supervision and guidance of an assigned experienced mentor
Work with teams across IT and other disciplines to experience work in an oil and gas exploration and production company
Participate in release management activities and daily stand-up calls with various IT teams
Review key IT controls for cybersecurity and SOX compliance
Interface with departments to understand their use of IT systems and processes and drive business outcomes
Provide quality compliance and administrative support to the department
Participate in intern events and philanthropic endeavors supporting the Oklahoma City community

Requirements

What you’ll need

Pursuing a bachelor’s degree or higher in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or a similar discipline
Strong interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills
Willingness to work in Oklahoma City, OK for the duration of the internship
Must be returning to school for the Fall 2027 semester
GPA of 3.20 or higher (preferred)
Extracurricular achievements or prior work experience (preferred)
