About the role

  • Manage a residential group with professional and operational oversight
  • Personnel responsibility for 6–8 staff members (recruitment, hiring, staff support and development)
  • Create duty rosters and manage vacation planning
  • Facilitate and organize weekly team meetings and planning retreats
  • Responsible for pedagogical placement, design and structuring of the facility and for steering the organizational development process in coordination with the area management
  • Implement care plans, service agreements and action plans in cooperation with funding agencies
  • Provide pedagogical counseling and support services within the facility
  • Enjoy and be willing to work day and night shifts in the group

Requirements

  • A completed, state-recognized qualification as an educator (Erzieher*in) or special needs educator (Heilerziehungspfleger*in), or a completed degree in Social Work / Social Pedagogy / Curative Education / Early Childhood Education / Special Education with state recognition, or a comparable qualification
  • Enthusiasm for leading and developing the facility and its staff
  • Team-building and team leadership skills
  • Confident presence and negotiation skills
  • Empathy, motivation, resilience in crisis situations, and a sense of humor
  • Appreciation for the freedoms and advantages of shift work (flexible scheduling concept)
  • Class B driver’s license (for use of the company vehicle during working hours)
  • Good knowledge of common Office programs
