About the role

  • Support and promote children and adolescents in a family-like environment

Requirements

  • Completed training as an educator (Erzieher) or curative education nurse (Heilerziehungspfleger) with state recognition, or a completed degree in Social Work / Social Pedagogy / Special Education with state recognition, or a comparable qualification
  • Driver’s license (Class B)
  • Open, warm and with a good sense of humor
  • Willingness to live a family-style everyday life with the children, full of fun and enjoyment
  • Ability to quickly build rapport with children, even if they are initially withdrawn or reserved
  • Keep a cool head even when the children are challenging
  • Place great value on good teamwork (duty rosters are, for example, agreed jointly)
  • Share the Christian values upheld by the diaconal organisation
