About the role
- Management of a residential group with professional and operational oversight
- Personnel responsibility for 6–8 staff members (recruitment, hiring, staff support and personnel development)
- Creating duty rosters and managing vacation planning
- Facilitating and organizing weekly team meetings and planning workshops
- Responsibility for the pedagogical placement, design and structuring of the facility and for steering the organizational development process in coordination with the department management
- Implementing care plans, service agreements and action catalogues in cooperation with funding agencies (cost bearers)
- Providing pedagogical counseling and care services within the facility
- Enjoys and is comfortable working day and night shifts within the group
Requirements
- You actively contribute and want to make a difference with your ideas
- A completed, state-recognized qualification as an educator (Erzieher/in) or curative education nurse/special-needs care worker (Heilerziehungspfleger/in), or a completed degree in Social Work / Social Pedagogy / Special Needs Education / Early Childhood Education with state recognition, or an equivalent qualification
- Enthusiasm for leading and further developing the facility and the staff
- Team-building and team leadership skills
- Confident demeanor and negotiation skills
- Empathy, motivation, resilience in crisis situations and a sense of humor
- You appreciate the freedoms and advantages of shift work (flexible duty-scheduling)
- You hold a Class B driving licence (for use of the company vehicle during working hours)
- Good knowledge of common Office programs
- You share the Christian values of our diaconal (church-affiliated) organization
