About the role
- Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation and qualification to closing complex deals
- Convert leads into trials and close deals with renewable energy companies across Europe
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients to help them optimize short-term power trading strategies using Dexter’s AI forecasting and optimization solutions
- Build and maintain strong client relationships and act as a strategic partner to maximize profits from renewable assets
- Leverage knowledge of power forecasting and European energy markets to guide prospects through data-driven decisions
- Collaborate with Marketing to position Dexter as a trusted brand in the energy forecasting space
- Work closely with Product to ensure client feedback shapes AI solutions
- Identify new business opportunities and strengthen existing accounts to drive Dexter’s expansion across Europe
- Report to Head of Sales & Marketing and collaborate with the CCO, Account Executives, Business Developer, Marketing and Product teams
- Travel monthly to Amsterdam (~2-3 days/month) and support both remote and Amsterdam-based activities
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in B2B software sales, within energy forecasting, short-term power trading, or optimization solutions
- Proven success in closing complex deals and managing long-term client relationships
- Deep understanding of the European energy market, ideally with experience in short-term power trading or power forecasting
- Strong business acumen and ability to translate complex AI-driven solutions into clear client value
- Fluency in English; additional European languages are a plus
- Based anywhere in Europe with eligibility to work in your country of residence
- Willingness to travel to Amsterdam ~once per month for 2-3 days
- If relocating to the Netherlands: eligible for visa sponsorship and relocation package
- For fully remote: must have the right to work in country of residence (no visa sponsorship for remote roles)
