About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Work closely with developers to prototype and design new infrastructure features
- Deploy, install, configure and maintain sophisticated trading/finance and related software
- Configure bare-metal instances using Infrastructure as Code
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines
- Make key decisions regarding scalability, reliability and availability
- Install and manage in-house and third-party monitoring systems
- Design, deploy, and configure cloud-based servers and networks; provision servers and storage; configure firewalls, VPNs, monitoring, etc.
- Administer UNIX infrastructure — installation, configuration, and maintenance
- Manage Nexus and Git repositories
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of experience in the field
- Experience as a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) or DevOps engineer
- Strong OS-level administration experience on Linux and/or UNIX
- Experience with IaaS and automation using Ansible and/or Terraform
- Experience with Docker and container orchestration platforms (e.g., OpenShift, HashiCorp Nomad)
- Ability to read and analyze logs and error messages
- Deep understanding of TCP/IP and the OSI model
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Zabbix, Elasticsearch or OpenSearch, Grafana, Kibana, etc.)
- Experience with web and proxy servers (Apache, Nginx, HAProxy, Envoy, etc.)
- Administration of UNIX infrastructure — installation, configuration and maintenance
- Configuring instances using Infrastructure as Code
- English level: at least B2 (Upper-Intermediate)
