About the role

  • Part of the AppOps team establishing the next-generation securities settlement platform
  • Responsible for operating a Java-based microservices architecture
  • Implementing adjustments to the alerting/monitoring system (Prometheus stack)
  • Operational activities for platform and application support
  • Supporting communication with the platform team and the service provider
  • Supporting releases and monitoring of various components
  • Monthly on-call duties to ensure production operations
  • Automating manual deployment steps and designing efficient operational processes

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a comparable qualification
  • Broad experience in operating applications within a microservices architecture
  • Good knowledge of agile project approaches and methodologies
  • Practical experience with public cloud environments and Kubernetes
  • Business-fluent German (C1) and good English (B2)
  • Prior experience with monitoring (for example the Prometheus stack) is desirable, or willingness to acquire these skills
  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to summarize topics clearly and appropriately for the target audience
