About the role

  • Responsible for HR and finance topics in a growing startup
  • Build and further develop simple, scalable HR and finance structures
  • Budget planning, cash flow monitoring and ongoing cost and liquidity management
  • Prepare reports, forecasts and decision-making materials for management
  • Operational execution of recruiting, onboarding, personnel administration and payroll
  • Collaborate with tax advisor, payroll provider and external partners
  • Point of contact for the team on all HR and administrative matters and maintenance of the HR tool
  • Support growth (hiring, processes, culture)

Requirements

  • Degree in Business Administration, Finance or a comparable vocational qualification with relevant professional experience
  • At least 5 years of practical experience, primarily in finance, controlling or operations — ideally in a startup or SME environment
  • Several additional years of hands-on HR experience, having managed both areas in a comparable, responsible role
  • Solid understanding of labor law, payroll and basic finance
  • Enjoys hands-on work and building things from the ground up
  • Structured, pragmatic and independent working style
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, high trustworthiness and discretion
  • Strong communication skills in German and English
