About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Responsibility for the physical security of the company’s infrastructure
Protection against crime, attack scenarios and other threats
Coordination and liaison with responsible security authorities at federal and state ministries, federal and state police, fire departments, civil protection/disaster control and other institutions
Implementation of the company’s strategic and operational directives
Ensuring compliance with all legal, regulatory and internal policy requirements
Close cooperation with IT security and HSE departments as well as with external service providers
Development, implementation and monitoring of a comprehensive security concept
Monitoring and coordination of measures to protect critical infrastructure (KRITIS)
Planning, steering and controlling security measures
Creation and maintenance of security policies and emergency and crisis plans
Organization and conduct of training, security exercises and audits
Management and quality control of external security service providers
Responsibility for the security budget, selection and management of external service providers

Requirements

What you’ll need

Degree in a technical field or an equivalent qualification in security management or hazard prevention
At least 5 years of professional experience in the aforementioned areas
Solid expertise in security management, risk management and the protection of critical infrastructure (KRITIS)
Very good knowledge of relevant legal and regulatory requirements with regard to security and public order law
Experience with security concepts, emergency and crisis management, hazard prevention and physical security technology (video surveillance, access control, alarm systems)
Experience working with security authorities and service providers
Knowledge of project management, especially for security projects, construction projects or the implementation of technical and organizational measures
Strong communication skills, ability to cooperate with authorities and external partners, and assertiveness on security-critical issues
Analytical and structured thinking, high attention to detail and strong judgment in dealing with risks
Willingness to undergo security screening in accordance with the Security Screening Act (SÜG)
German at native level, very good English skills in spoken and written form
