About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Responsibility for the physical security of the company’s infrastructure
  • Protection against crime, attack scenarios and other hazards
  • Coordination and liaison with security authorities and institutions
  • Implementation of the company’s strategic and operational directives
  • Ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements as well as internal policies
  • Development, implementation and monitoring of a comprehensive security concept
  • Monitoring and coordination of measures to protect critical infrastructure (KRITIS)
  • Conducting security and vulnerability analyses, threat assessments and risk evaluations
  • Planning, directing and controlling security measures
  • Preparation and maintenance of security policies and emergency/crisis plans
  • Organization and delivery of training and security exercises
  • Preparation of incident analyses and reports and derivation of improvement measures
  • Responsibility for the security budget and selection of external service providers

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Completed technical degree or an equivalent qualification in security management, hazard prevention or a related field
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in the described areas
  • Solid knowledge of security management, risk management and protection of critical infrastructure (KRITIS)
  • Very good knowledge of relevant legal and regulatory requirements concerning security and public order law
  • Experience with security concepts, emergency and crisis management, hazard prevention and physical security technology (video surveillance, access control, alarm systems)
  • Experience collaborating with security authorities and external service providers
  • Knowledge of project management, particularly for security projects, construction projects or the implementation of technical-organizational measures
  • Strong communication skills, ability to work with authorities and external partners, and assertiveness on security-critical issues
  • Analytical and structured thinking, strong attention to detail and sound judgment in assessing risks
  • Willingness to undergo security screening in accordance with the Security Clearance Act (SÜG)
  • Native-level German and very good written and spoken English
