About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Maintaining daily logs of system events
Providing immediate verbal notifications of unusual activities to the appropriate personnel
Preparing daily power nominations and reports
Overseeing the safe and reliable operations of wind, solar farm and battery assets
Monitoring real-time power output, performance, and energy yield of each generating facility
Responsible for maintaining availability levels at each renewable energy site
Following curtailment directives from entities
Scheduling and coordinating the load levels of power plant generation to maintain system integrity
Perform a variety of administrative duties
Responsible for EH&S and other relevant compliance requirements
Maintaining effective communication with wind and solar entities, ROC QSE, power off takers, and OEM wind providers

Requirements

What you’ll need

High School/GED
2 years of equivalent experience
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or relevant field desired
Ability to work independently or in a team environment
Good interpersonal and communication skills
Advanced knowledge of the company’s energy management system
Detailed knowledge of power systems, including transmission, load control, voltage control, frequency control, automatic generation control, and NERC performance standards
Knowledge of generating unit operations, engineering, or maintenance practices
Additional years of renewable generation dispatching experience are preferred and will be given preference over other power industry experience
Experience with multiple wind turbine supplier and solar PV technology desired
