About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- The Information Designer will be responsible for transforming complex information, data, and processes into clear, accessible, and visually compelling communication assets.
- Break down complex content, processes, or data into logical, easy-to-understand structures.
- Translate raw information into clear narratives, flows, taxonomies, and visual frameworks.
- Determine the best format to communicate information: infographic, diagram, model, dashboard, presentation, or document.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to extract key messages and insights.
- Apply principles of cognition, clarity, and visual hierarchy to ensure content is understandable and usable.
- Create visually appealing infographics, diagrams, charts, and explanatory visuals.
- Use illustration, iconography, layout, and typography to enhance comprehension.
- Convert finalized content into polished design deliverables aligned with brand guidelines.
- Ensure visual storytelling is consistent, engaging, and intuitive.
- Produce high-quality design assets for both digital and print formats.
- Interpret quantitative and qualitative data and represent it visually.
- Design charts, dashboards, and data-driven visuals that communicate insights clearly.
- Ensure accuracy, integrity, and clarity in data representations.
- Work with strategy, product, communication, and design teams to understand requirements.
- Manage multiple projects, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality outputs.
- Present concepts and design rationale to stakeholders in a clear, structured way.
- Iterate based on feedback while preserving design integrity and clarity.
Requirements
What you’ll need- 6+ years of experience in information design roles
- Bachelor’s degree in Communication Design, Visual Design, Information Design, HCI, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of communication design, information architecture, and content structuring.
- Ability to simplify complex concepts into intuitive visual formats.
- Experience in designing infographics, visual frameworks, diagrams, dashboards, and presentations.
- Proficiency with tools such as PowerPoint, Adobe Illustrator, Figma, Adobe XD/ Rush, photoshop, or similar.
- Strong sense of visual hierarchy, layout, typography, color, and UI/UX fundamentals.
- Ability to interpret data and extract meaningful insights.
- Structured thinking and problem-solving capability.
- Familiarity with basic data visualization principles.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage deadlines, prioritize tasks, and work independently.
