Counselor

• Take responsibility for payroll services within the outsourcing department (NOA)
• Manage payroll for multiple companies in Canada and the United States
• Review and validate payroll accounting entries (each pay period)
• Execute implementation projects and continuous improvement initiatives for payroll processes and systems
• Prepare, develop and produce various reports for accounting and management
• Maintain and ensure the accuracy of the payroll database and process all necessary updates/corrections
• Stay up to date on applicable payroll regulations and labor standards
• Apply current tax, social and legal rules across Canadian provinces and U.S. states
• Prepare T4 and RL-1 statements and assist with managing tax slip season
• Provide engaging leadership to the team (coaching, training, performance management, etc.)
• Act as a point of reference for internal employees
