About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Administer, operate, and optimize PostgreSQL and SQL Server databases.
Monitor performance, perform tuning activities, and resolve incidents.
Participate in the on-call rotation and ensure service continuity.
Implement and maintain backup, restore, and disaster recovery (DRP) strategies.
Automate deployments, configurations, and recurring operations using Infrastructure-as-Code tools.
Develop and maintain automation scripts in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
Implement and improve monitoring and observability solutions.
Contribute to defining technical standards and industrializing the database platform.
Collaborate closely with development, infrastructure, and cybersecurity teams.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and platform transformation projects.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Minimum of 5 years' experience in database administration and operations.
Strong expertise in PostgreSQL and SQL Server in critical/production environments.
Experience developing scripts in Python, Bash, and/or PowerShell.
Implement automation solutions using Ansible, Terraform, or equivalent tools.
Administer Linux and Windows environments.
Document operational procedures, configurations, and technical standards.
Knowledge of cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and/or Kubernetes.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
English and French are required; additional languages are a plus.
