About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own and oversee delivery of Collateral, Margin & Valuations Services processes across margin calculation, reconciliation, and collateral settlement.
  • Provide oversight of controls within the core margin platform.
  • Review and challenge exceptions, breaks, and disputes, and coordinate resolution and escalation.
  • Act as the primary escalation point for complex issues across Business, Risk, and Technology.
  • Maintain accountability for control execution, design, embedding, and evidence.
  • Lead process improvement and control enhancement initiatives, including automation, standardisation, and reduction of manual intervention.
  • Drive strategic change programmes and translate business requirements into implementable solutions.
  • Oversee MI and reporting, articulating themes, risks, and trends to senior stakeholders.
  • Engage with Audit, Operational Risk, and Control functions on process design, control operation, and remediation.
  • Support resource planning, prioritisation, and oversight of junior team members across BAU and change objectives.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Strong experience in collateral management or margin operations, with understanding of the end-to-end margin lifecycle and associated risks
  • Proven ability to oversee and challenge operational processes, controls, and outputs in a complex environment
  • Experience managing or leading process improvement and change initiatives, including control uplift and automation
  • Strong understanding of control frameworks and governance expectations, including audit and risk interaction
  • Margin experience ideally, or general middle-office experience with settlements
  • Ability to assess and articulate operational risk, control effectiveness, and remediation actions
  • Advanced analytical capability and ability to interpret complex data and identify root causes and themes
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with senior business, risk, and technology partners
  • Ability to prioritise BAU delivery and change activity while maintaining control discipline
  • Change, business analysis, and/or project management experience within a Markets Operations setting considered
  • Strong knowledge of control architecture within core margin platforms
  • Experience leading control uplift, transformation, or strategic programmes
  • Ability to leverage data, analytics, and emerging AI tooling to enhance control visibility, MI, and process efficiency
  • Track record of engagement with stakeholders and governance forums, including ownership of remediation outcomes
