About the role

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs
  • Support the setup, configuration and optimisation of a new rules engine within Snowflake
  • Develop and maintain backend applications using Python
  • Collaborate with front-end developers to ensure seamless API integration
  • Optimise application performance, scalability, and security
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
  • Participate in architectural decisions and technical design discussions

Requirements

  • Proven experience in backend development
  • Strong Python development skills
  • Experience working with Snowflake, including configuration and data modelling is essential
  • Solid understanding of API design (RESTful services)
  • Experience working with databases and data-driven systems
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment
