About the role
- Application of accounting principles and procedures to analyze financial information, prepare accurate/timely financial reports & statements and ensure appropriate accounting control procedures.
- Perform financial operational reconciliations including balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow analysis.
- Perform monthly account reconciliations in a timely and accurate manner.
- Maintenance of financial records (including analysis of revenues & expenses) in compliance with accepted firm policies and procedures.
- Monthly, quarterly and year end book closure and reporting.
- Preparation of journal entries and other general ledger operations.
- Preparation of balance sheet account reconciliation and ageing analysis of open items.
- Understanding the Key Business drivers and ensure timely response to the stakeholder queries.
- Preparation of process documentation and coordination with other team members to ensure it reflects the current processes.
- Work as a team to achieve Service Level Agreement for the process and individual targets; and work towards process improvement activities.
- Participate in Transitions / new activities for their respective Member Firm processes.
- Support identification and integration of any new technology like SAP, Blackline, etc. (including the enhancement of platforms for Collections, Finance & Accounting and Billing functions).
- Work on AO reports and provide analysis on Aged Debt Report, Missing Time report, Head Count Report, Risk analysis, Chargebacks & Adjustments, etc., Ensure compliance with Member Firm process guidelines and Firm Policies.
- Liaising and collaborating with other members of the internal finance team and the Business
Requirements
- Graduation or Post Graduation Degree in Accounting & Auditing
- 5 to 8 years relevant experience
- Understanding of SAP, AO, blackline and other financial applications.
- Minimum of 5+ years of relevant finance and accounting experience.
- Understanding International Accounting Principles (IFRS).
- Good knowledge on the Microsoft Office applications including MS Excel and MS word.
- Knowledge of general accounting procedures is required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong understanding of core finance business processes.
- Use of VBA coding to reduce production time and enhance customer experience.
- Ability to work effectively, both independently and as a member of a team.
