About the role

  • This role sits within the SAP team of Deloitte Southeast Asia, focusing on SAP Data Migration solutions
  • As a Consultant, you will support the delivery of high-quality SAP Data Migration services across the region, working closely with clients and project teams throughout the implementation lifecycle
  • Engage clients in workshops and interviews to understand data structures, legacy systems, and migration requirements
  • Analyze source data, assess data quality, and define data migration strategy and approach
  • Advise clients on SAP-recommended data models, migration best practices, and governance
  • Design data mapping, transformation logic, and validation rules between legacy systems and SAP
  • Support data extraction, cleansing, transformation, loading, and reconciliation activities
  • Execute data migration cycles including mock loads, SIT, UAT, and cutover rehearsals
  • Develop migration documentation, templates, and tracking tools
  • Collaborate with functional and technical teams to ensure data readiness for end-to-end processes
  • Support change management by preparing user guidance and assisting business users during validation
  • Build effective working relationships with clients, project teams, and internal stakeholders

Requirements

  • A good honors degree in Information Technology, Business Information Systems, Business, Engineering, Mathematics, or related disciplines
  • Minimum 2–4 years of hands-on experience in SAP Data Migration, with at least one end-to-end full lifecycle implementation (from design to go-live)
  • Solid understanding of SAP implementation methodology and the full data migration lifecycle (Extract, Transform, Load, Validate, Reconcile)
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA data structures (e.g., Business Partner, Material Master, Finance objects) is highly preferred
  • Familiarity with migration tools such as SAP Migration Cockpit, LSMW, ETL tools, or custom programs is an advantage
  • Exposure to Oil & Gas or asset-intensive industries is a strong plus
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to understand complex business data and translate it into migration logic
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multi-cultural and cross-functional project environment
  • Good communication and presentation skills in English, with confidence to engage client stakeholders
  • Ability to facilitate data workshops and lead discussions on migration approach and data readiness
  • High attention to detail, structured thinking, and strong problem-solving skills
  • Proven capability to manage multiple tasks under tight timelines in a project-based environment
  • Strong sense of ownership, teamwork, and professional accountability
  • Willingness to work outside office base when required
