About the role

  • Lead accounts payable processes for assigned Malaysia entities
  • Process payment request submissions
  • Understand the cost allocation/sharing process and perform cost allocation
  • Perform payments within Firm’s stipulate timelines via online banking transactions & interfirm netting
  • Manage communications pertaining payables inquiries with external & internal parties
  • Reconcile monthly statements from vendors & interfirms
  • Ensure appropriate accruals and adjusting entries have been recognized during each period close
  • Monitor and reconcile the Goods Receipt/Invoice Receipt (GRIR) account
  • Resolve discrepancies promptly and escalate issues
  • Maintain applicable taxes records and timely payments
  • Participate in development & execution of relevant continuous operation improvement projects
  • Support in cross-function tasks & ad-hoc assignments required by Finance Managers & Directors
  • Check overseas invoices for withholding taxes and imported service tax compliance
  • E-invoice submission on LHDN website for all overseas invoices
  • Provide guidance to junior analysts on AP processes

Requirements

  • Degree in accounting or professional certificate such as ACCA, CPA or equivalent, with knowledge in WHT, IST and e-invoicing
  • 5-6 years working experience preferably in Accounts Payable
  • Excellent command in English and Bahasa Malaysia, written and spoken
  • Proficient in MS Office, added advantage for knowledge of using SAP, SWIFT, ARIBA and FIORI
