About the role

  • Overseeing the design, implementation, optimization, and maintenance of the organization’s network infrastructure
  • Providing technical leadership to the network engineering team
  • Ensuring secure, reliable, and high-performance connectivity across all systems and locations
  • Driving architectural decisions and resolving complex network issues
  • Leading projects that enhance scalability and efficiency
  • Partnering closely with cross-functional teams, vendors, and leadership to ensure network solutions align with business needs and best practices
  • Mentoring junior engineers and/or collaborating with IT vendors to complete projects

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or related field preferred
  • 10+ years of experience as a Network and Security Engineer, with at least 2 years in senior role
  • Proven experience in network design and integration during mergers/acquisitions or similar large-scale projects
  • Strong background in cybersecurity, including vulnerability remediation, firewall management, and secure network architecture
  • Certifications such as CCNP/CCIE, CISSP, CompTIA Security+, or equivalent are preferred
  • Hands-on expertise with technologies from Cisco, Fortinet, or similar vendors
  • Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure) and tools like SD-WAN, Zscaler, or similar
  • Experience working in retirement services and/or financial service industries a plus
