About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Approach talent acquisition with emphasis on candidate experience, hiring manager experience, best practices, and compliance
  • Guide hiring managers and interviewers through recruitment, application review, interview preparation, debriefs, and selection
  • Analyze and present recruitment information accurately and timely
  • Maintain job postings, candidate data, and hiring statuses in the Applicant Tracking System and team spreadsheets
  • Develop experiments and execute strategies to attract, source, and recruit top talent
  • Attract diverse talent pools
  • Develop and execute an early-career talent strategy and sustainable entry-level talent pipelines
  • Build partnerships with universities, student organizations, career centers, academic programs, and military transition organizations
  • Represent Defense Unicorns at career fairs, recruiting events, networking opportunities, and conferences, with travel as needed
  • Work with Marketing to promote job postings and the employer brand
  • Create content for the Careers webpage
  • Engage candidates throughout the recruitment process from application through hiring decision
  • Schedule and conduct interviews
  • Communicate post-hiring decisions, offer letters, and negotiations
  • Communicate the employee benefits package to prospective employees
  • Collect feedback from recent hires to improve recruitment processes
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Experience recruiting in a tech company for technical positions
  • Experience with Greenhouse, LinkedIn Recruiter, Slack, and Google Suite
  • Experience working effectively in a fully remote or distributed team environment
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to articulate information clearly and concisely
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and reliable
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize, schedule, and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced startup environment
  • Ability to attract and recruit diverse talent
  • Ability to develop early-career talent pipelines and university partnerships
  • Ability to travel 30–40% as required
