About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform a variety of duties such as proper handling of teller work, cash, accurately balancing, deposits, checks, payments
- Promote various bank products and services
- Assist customers and staff with various retail, operations and customer service support
- Maintain currency and coin supply within bank policy
- Maintain balancing records within acceptable limits
- Provide excellent customer service
- Cross sell and introduce new services to customers
- Open and close the bank following proper security procedures
- Follow proper safe deposit box access and other appropriate activities
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Cash handling experience preferred
- Customer service experience preferred
- Provide excellent customer service and work in a team environment
- Ability to prioritize and make on the spot decisions regarding customer transactions
- In-depth knowledge of all bank deposit products and policies
- Basic knowledge of bank loan and investment center products
- Effectively operate all office equipment required to support this position
- Must be alert to fraudulent activity
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrate excellent organization and ability to prioritize workflow
